Jun Soo Shin
DDS, MS, FACP
Dr. Jun Soo Shin, originally from Seoul, South Korea, grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii. He completed New York University’s accelerated BA/DDS program, with a major in biology and minor in food studies. Upon graduation from dental school, he received the New York Academy of Oral Rehabilitation Award and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society upon graduation.
In dental school, Dr. Shin developed a strong interest in prosthodontics and wished to further expand knowledge in complex treatment planning, digital dentistry, and dental implants. Dr. Shin completed a three-year Advanced Education Program in prosthodontics at the University of Illinois in Chicago (UIC), where he underwent extensive restorative and surgical training in providing patients with the highest quality of dental care. While at UIC, he also completed a Master of Science degree in oral sciences to further expand his knowledge in the field of implant dentistry. He strives to stay up-to-date with new technology, technique, and dental material to provide patients with predictable and desirable outcomes.
Dr. Shin is an active member of the American Dental Association, American College of Prosthodontist, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, Chicago Dental Society, and Illinois State Dental Society. He is a board-certified prosthodontist.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Shin enjoys spending time with his wife (Dr. Kim), their son, Liam, and two cats, Monie and Ronie, and golfing outdoors.
Jee Sun Kim
DDS
Dr. Jee Sun Kim found passion in the healthcare field during high school and enrolled in a 7-year joint degree program at Adelphi University and New York University College of Dentistry with an Advanced Certificate in public health. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Kim moved to Chicago to start her exciting career. After practicing many years as a general dentist in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs, Dr. Kim has joined Pallotto Dental Care!
Dr. Kim describes being a dentist as a very humbling and rewarding experience. Dr. Kim believes in building strong patient-doctor relationships and delivering gentle and compassionate care that every patient deserves. Extending her desire to provide more comprehensive care to patients, Dr. Kim is certified in Invisalign, facial rejuvenation for TMJ and orofacial pain therapy.
Outside of the office, you will find her cuddling with her newborn, Liam, and two cats, and exploring different restaurants and cuisines in the city with her husband (Dr. Shin)!
